• High pressure : industrial cylinders filled with gas are maintained at pressures between 2000 psi to 3000 psi. Proper cylinders and equipment must be used to store or transport the contents
• Extremely cold : gases like helium, hydrogen or oxygen are stored as cryogenic liquids. The vapor and liquid temperatures may range from -109 F to -452 F. The hazard due to its improper handling may cause frostbites or asphyxia
• Oxidizing : oxygen and nitrous oxide are oxidizers. They support the material to burn with an explosive violence
